interviewing
it’s a delicate thing. i would say an art, but the best interviews seem to be artless — every employer so far seems to be in search of someone both incredibly competent and completely genuine. if they have to choose, they all say they’d rather have genuine.

Sue and Santana
I just want to point out that the role of the villain seems to have been largely lost in most of the movies and television I’ve viewed in the last decade. We had Glenn Close in Damages, who gave one spellbindingly awesome performance after another — but no one watched that show much. And there’s Voldemort, of course — but (imho) the HP books are really about friendship...

unsettled

TS: how was the interview?
Me: long and intense! i think they want someone with more experience.
TS: they always want more experience. they don't always get what they want. it depends on what they pay.
